Annie's Sleepy Bear Paper Piecing Craft Project

Create an adorable little paper pieced bear to use as a scrapbook page, card, tag or gift embellishment.

Materials and Supplies Needed:

  • 2 sheets 8 ½" x 11" white card stock
  • 2 sheets 8 ½" x 11" black card stock
  • tracing paper
  • transfer paper
  • pencil
  • fine line black marker pen
  • scissors
  • * Optional: glitter glue, embossing, brads, metallic markers or any embellishment materials of your choice

Project Procedure:

Step 1: Print pattern pieces.

Step 1

Print pattern pieces and swatch paper artwork on white card stock.

Step 2: Trace and transfer linework.

Step 2

Trace and then transfer the line work pattern pieces onto the color swatch sheet printout.

Step 3: Cut out pattern pieces.

Step 3

Cut out all pattern pieces from the swatch printout, apply adhesive to the back of each piece and mount them on black card stock.

Step 4: Cut out mounted pieces.

Step 4

Cut out each mounted pattern piece, leaving a slight black card stock. border edge around each piece.

Step 5: Aesemble pattern pieces onto black cardstock.

Step 5

Assemble the pattern pieces onto a larger sheet of black card stock and then apply adhesive to each piece to hold the composition in place.

Step 6: Touch up rough edges with fineline marker.

Step 6

Use a fine line marker to touch up any rough edges and embellish as desired to complete the project. •
